Showcase Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to claim and redeem Holiday Gems Rewards, accommodation rates and booking information form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Showcase Holiday Gems Promotion offer is only available from your participating Showcase store in Australia, and only during the promotion dates as determined by your participating Showcase store.
  3. The terms and conditions relating to the promotion and redemption of this promotion are subject to change or withdrawal without notice.
  4. To be eligible to receive a Holiday Gems Reward Certificate you must spend a minimum $500 on full priced, non-discounted, items (that is, the ticketed price) in-store in the same transaction at any participating Showcase store in Australia. Reward Certificates will be awarded to customers at four spend levels: $500, $1000, $2000 and $3000, any of which must be spent in a single transaction e.g. if you spend $1000 on full price items in a single transaction you receive 1 x $1000 Ruby Reward Certificate. The Holiday Gems Reward Certificates will be handed to you at the time of purchase.
  5. Each Reward Certificate is valid for 24 months from the issue date on the front of the Certificate. However, all accommodation must be booked within 18 months from the Issue Date on the front of the Holiday Gems Reward Certificate.
  6. Each Reward Certificate can be applied as a partial payment only towards the published or discounted accommodation rates displayed on the website www.holidaygems.com.au or in promotional brochures or catalogues for a stay in a room or apartment at a selection of participating resorts for a stay subject to booking and availability. Prices and the information contained on the website www.holidaygems.com.au or in promotional brochures or catalogues are subject to change without notice. The number of nights that you can stay at each resort will vary, depending on the resort selected. The total amount of your Reward Certificate that can be applied towards an accommodation booking is dependent on the resort selected, its location, the type of room selected and the number of nights selected. You will be required to pay the amount that remains outstanding in relation to each accommodation booking. Information in relation to the amount of your Reward Certificate that can be applied towards your accommodation and the amounts outstanding that will be payable is available at www.holidaygems.com.au. Rates for international resorts are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. All accommodation bookings and enquiries must be made through RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725 or online at www.holidaygems.com.au.
  7. Where the value of the accommodation that may be redeemed using a Reward Certificate is less than the total value of the Reward Certificate, the unused portion of the Certificate will be provided to you as a Credit Certificate for that amount, and can be used for future Showcase Holiday Gems bookings. A Credit Certificate is subject to the same terms and conditions as a Reward Certificate.
  8. This promotion offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion available through RewardsCorp and/or the participating resorts.
  9. A Hotel Room, Suite or 1 Bedroom Apartment sleeps 2 guests, a 2 Bedroom Suite or Apartment sleeps 4 guests, a 3 Bedroom Apartment or Villa sleeps 6 guests, and a 4 Bedroom Villa sleeps 8 guests, unless stated otherwise. Where necessary extra guests and children will incur a charge for additional bedding. Details on request from RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725.
  10. Rates for 7 night stays at many resorts are based on Friday check-in. Alternative check-in days for 7 night stays may be possible subject to availability. A surcharge may apply.
  11. The participating resorts in this Promotion are generally available between 8 and 9 months of each calendar year. Resort availability is restricted or excluded during most school holidays and the weeks immediately preceding and following these holidays. Where reservations are possible during these times a $20 per night surcharge will apply. Public holidays, special events and other peak season periods (such as the peak season winter months of July through October in Tropical North QLD) are generally excluded. However, restrictions and exclusions are determined by the destination and resort e.g. Tropical North Qld resorts are available all December and January school holidays (excluding 25 Dec – 03 Jan) and from 04 January until 16 June including Easter and March school holidays. Resorts in other destinations are also available from time to time during otherwise restricted dates. Please call RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725 with your holiday preferences for up-to-date resort rates, availability and recommendations. All requested booking dates are subject to promotion availability.
  12. Your accommodation payment is required upon confirmation of your requested resort accommodation and booking dates. This is the amount specified on the accommodation price chart under each resort listing minus the amount redeemable using your Reward Certificate. Payment can be made by cheque, money order, bank transfer or with the following credit cards — Visa, MasterCard, (a 2.5% credit card surcharge will apply) or Diners Club (a 3% credit card surcharge will apply). With payment by cheque, bookings can only be confirmed upon receipt of cleared funds.
  13. Should you cancel your accommodation booking after full payment is made, no refund applies. However, you can amend your booking dates for your selected resort as often as you require, up to 35 days prior to your booked arrival date and you can also transfer your accommodation booking to another party, without penalty or incurring amendment fees, only name amendments will be permitted within 35 days of arrival at your booked resort. No cancellations or amendments are permitted for “Last minute specials”. At the sole discretion of RewardsCorp, and subject to the booked resort and the specific room inventory being utilised for another booking, cancellations and date changes may be permitted within 35 days prior to your booked arrival date, subject to a $100 fee.
  14. RewardsCorp advises Reward Certificate holders to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as most participating resorts are very popular and promotional room allocations at some resorts are very limited. Acceptance of your booking is subject to each participating resort’s standard conditions of acceptance of guests including but not limited to conditions in relation to booking, occupancy, payment and checkout that apply at all times.
  15. In the event of war, terrorism, political or civil unrest, state of emergency or disaster, Showcase Jewellers and RewardsCorp reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the offer or individual Reward Certificates.
  16. Your Reward Certificates each carry unique serial numbers which are validated and filed with your account at the time of booking. While you will not be required to present your Reward Certificates to the resort at the time of checking in, we recommend you keep them as a record of your booking. Should you lose or misplace any unused Reward Certificates you must advise RewardsCorp immediately on 1300 722 725 and these serial numbers will be cancelled within our central reservations system. Alternative Reward Certificate serial numbers will then be issued to you for future bookings.
  17. You are responsible for all travel including airfares and/or transport to the relevant participating resort, spending money, mini bar, additional meals and any and all ancillary costs incurred in order to take advantage of your accommodation booking. The rates and information in promotional brochures and catalogues and the www.holidaygems.com.au website are correct at the time of publication. RewardsCorp reserves the right to amend rates and conditions or withdraw resorts without notice.
  18. Your participating Showcase Jewellers store, RewardsCorp and the participating resorts and other suppliers shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of your participation in the promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  19. Each Reward Certificate is fully transferable to family, friends, work colleagues and personnel, but cannot be used to gain financial advantage through being sold, scalped, auctioned, raffled, pledged, redeemed for cash, or promoted as an incentive or reward by any third party as an inducement for any person or other entity to enter into any commercial arrangements with that third party. Any Reward Certificate that has been obtained through any of these methods will not be honoured.
  20. In the event of a situation whereby RewardsCorp or the resort cannot provide booked accommodation as previously confirmed, for whatever reason, RewardsCorp will undertake to relocate clients into an alternative resort of comparable grading at no expense to the client. Should there not be a resort of comparable grading in the vicinity of the original booking, it may be required to provide clients with a resort of a lesser grading. If this is the case, any reduction in costs will be refunded to the client. The alternatives offered are at RewardsCorp’s discretion. Should the client wish to choose a property of a standard other than offered under this condition, then the client will be required to pay any difference.
  21. By participating in this offer, unless otherwise advised by you, you consent to the information you provide to RewardsCorp being entered into a database and RewardsCorp may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to you. All personal details of participants will be stored at RewardsCorp offices. As per the relevant Privacy Legislation, a request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office.
  22. All enquiries and bookings regarding flights, cruises and packages will be processed through our travel partner RCI Travel — a subsidiary of CENDANT Vacation Network Group (Travel Agent License Number 1708/IATA Number 0234412).
  23. The www.holidaygems.com.au website Terms and Conditions are deemed to be the full conditions and are subject to change.
  24. This promotion is governed by and is to be construed under the laws of Queensland.
