Can I get Holiday Gems Rewards Certificates from all Showcase Jewellers stores?
Most Showcase Jewellers stores Australia-wide are participating in the Showcase Holiday Gems Promotion. However, in the absence of any in-store promotion materials or information, we recommend you determine if the store you are considering purchasing merchandise from is participating in the promotion.
How long is the Showcase Holiday Gems Promotion available for?
This is a limited promotion offer and is subject to withdrawal without notice so make sure you get into your Showcase Jewellers store without delay and secure a Showcase Holiday Gems Rewards Certificate.
What does the heading 'average retail rate' mean in the accommodation price charts?
This is the accommodation rate for a stay that is either the rate published by the hotel or resort (retail rate) or has already been discounted by RewardsCorp. Due to volume business concessions with participating properties, RewardsCorp is able to offer an extra discount on many accommodation rates — even before you apply your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate towards this (reduced) rate. What does this mean? You will be saving even more on your holiday!
When are the Showcase Holiday Gems Rewards Certificates valid to?
Each Reward Certificate is valid for 24 months from the issue date on the front of the Certificate. However, all accommodation must be booked within 18 months from the Issue Date on the front of the Holiday Gems Reward Certificate.
Will I get a lesser hotel or resort room or apartment than if I was paying the normal price?
Absolutely not. This is a practise sometimes adopted by independent resorts where you will then be offered a standard room and an option to pay for an upgrade. With Showcase Holiday Gems your booking is processed by RewardsCorp through a computerised live link with its resorts. As such it is not possible for personnel at each resort to determine whether you are paying full rate or a heavily subsidised rate. In any event it is most resorts' guest check-in policy to provide the best rooms to arriving guests — and not to leave the best rooms vacant.
How do I find out more about the resorts?
RewardsCorp reservations personnel can answer your questions on aspects of each hotel and resort, and the suitability of various properties to your particular accommodation and holiday requirements. All accommodation enquiries must be made through RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725 Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm. Alternatively you can email your enquiry to reservations@rewardscorp.com.
Are there hotels or resorts in any other holiday destinations than those featured in this website?
RewardsCorp is continually adding new destinations and new properties to its resort and holiday portfolio — so email us at reservations@rewardscorp.com with any other preferred resort destinations and you will be advised of any new properties coming online at those destinations.
How do I book my holiday?
Simply call RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725 Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm with your preferred resort(s) and holiday dates and RewardsCorp will be able to confirm your booking, or advise the closest available dates. Alternatively you can email your details to reservations@rewardscorp.com.
Do I receive written confirmation of my booking?
Yes, you will receive a Resort Voucher confirming your Booking No., relevant details of your holiday booking and resort arrival instructions, confirmation of the balance of the accommodation charges paid by you, your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate serial number, and any other booking particulars requested by you.
What if I don't have enough value on my Certificate to make up the maximum redeemable amount by Showcase Holiday Gems? Can I pay the difference in cash?
Yes you can, however, why not return and purchase additional merchandise at your participating Showcase Jewellers store and receive another Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate?
How many guests can sleep in a hotel room or apartment?
A hotel or resort room and a 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 2 guests and a 2 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 guests, unless stated otherwise. Where possible, extra adult guests and children over a certain age (which varies between properties), are charged per night each for a rollaway bed. Infants up to the age of 3 years are free of charge, unless a cot is required for hire. Should you require additional guests or children this must be mentioned at the time of booking. Please note that not all resort rooms can accommodate additional guests. Check with RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725.
When do I pay for the balance of my resort booking?
Your accommodation payment is required upon confirmation of your requested accommodation and booking dates. This is the amount set out in the accommodation price chart in the promotion brochure and updated in this website less your maximum redeemable Showcase Holiday Gems Rewards which are deducted at this time.
What Payment Methods are available?
Payment can be made by cheque, money order, bank transfer or with the following credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, BankCard (2.5% surcharge), Diners Club and American Express (3% surcharge). With payment by cheque, bookings can only be made upon receipt of cleared funds.
Are there any charges if I cancel or amend my booking?
Should you cancel your accommodation booking after full payment is made, no refund applies. However, we appreciate that your circumstances may change and that you may not be willing or able to travel on your booked resort holiday. We have therefore implemented an Amendment Policy where you can amend your booking dates for your selected resort as often as you require, and you can also transfer your accommodation booking to another party, without penalty or incurring any amendment fees. This will enable you to transfer your booking to friends, family or contacts and be reimbursed in part or in full by the new booking party. No amendments except for a change of name will be permitted within 7 days of arrival at your booked resort. It may also be possible to transfer your booking to another resort to that booked, however this will be subject to availability and an amendment fee of $50. Any applicable adjustment to the cash component of the resort booking will also apply. We recommend you take out a suitable travel insurance policy which covers cancellation charges in various circumstances.
How soon should I book my holiday?
To avoid disappointment we recommend that you book your holiday as soon as you have decided on your preferred hotel or resort and holiday dates. While there are a substantial number of hotel and resort options available for the Showcase Holiday Gems Promotion, a number of the participating properties are very popular. Although we strongly advise against leaving your booking as late as possible, we will accept bookings with a minimum 21 days booking notice required. Bookings will only be accepted within 21 days notice at the discretion of RewardsCorp.
What dates are resorts available to book on the promotion? What about school holidays?
The participating resorts in the Showcase Jewellers Holiday Gems Promotion are generally available between 8 and 9 months of each calendar year. Resort availability is restricted, excluded or surcharged during most public holidays, school holidays, special events and peak season periods and the weeks immediately preceding and following these holidays. However, restrictions and exclusions are determined by the destination and resort. Please call RewardsCorp on 1300 722 725 with your holiday preferences for up-to-date resort availability and recommendations. All requested booking dates are subject to promotion availability.
What if my Showcase Holiday Gems Rewards Certificate is lost or stolen?
You should treat your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate as you would cash — as each certificate represents $500 — $3000 savings off the accommodation cost of a hotel or resort holiday. So please keep a record of the serial number on your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate or Credit Certificate in a safe place, and separately to your Certificate, in case they are lost or stolen.
Do I need to keep my Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate after I have made my booking?
Yes, please keep your individually numbered Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate in a safe place as you will be required to provide these to Resort Reception upon arrival and check-in at your resort. Your individually numbered Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate carries a unique serial number and will be cross-referenced at check-in with the serial number you provided at the time of making your booking with RewardsCorp. Should you lose or misplace your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate prior to arrival at your resort you must advise RewardsCorp immediately on 1300 722 725 and the serial number will be cancelled within our central reservations system — with an alternative Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate serial number then issued to you and allocated to your booking. In this case you will not be required to present your Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate upon resort check-in, however, your original lost Showcase Holiday Gems Reward Certificate serial number will be invalid for any subsequent booking.
